The view will take your breath away. A perfect crescent of pale sand and a bay that has been rated one of the most beautiful in World. On the headland, you can see a jumble of tiny white houses crowded around the ancient harbour. And in the distance, Grodrevy Lighthouse, immortalised by novelist Virginia Woolf. There is no where else quite like it Welcome to The Porthminster.
What we think:
We've not stayed at the Porthminster, but we do love St Ives (especially out of season), with its clear blue waters, pure white sand, and enticing lanes full of interesting little shops, art galleries and nice places to eat. The Porthminster is on the edge of town (within easy walking distance) and looks out over the sea. The Porthminster also had the benefit of car parking, which is a real bonus in busy St Ives.
