The Cornwall Estate is 43 acres of woodland and parkland and comprises of a 65 luxurious bedroom hotel which embraces a 19th century manor house that has been fully restored, 22 woodland self catering homes and a state of the art spa. Within the main hotel is The Arboretum, our fine dining restaurant and Acorns, our informal brasserie. The bar and lounge have been sympathetically restored in keeping with the original manor house. The lounge is the perfect place for relaxing and leads out to the terrace and croquet lawn. The 19th century stable has been converted into The Clearing Spa, a world of luxurious surroundings, peaceful relaxation and soothing experiences. The spa comprises of 5 treatment rooms, sauna, steam room, hot tub and an infinity-edge pool which in any weather you will enjoy a spectacular setting for your swim with stunning views over the 19th century subtropical walled garden to the Pentewan Valley beyond. For the more energetic, there will be tennis courts and a fully equipped state-of-the-art gymnasium.

What we think of the Fowey Hall Hotel:

We've not stayed here yet (it's very new, with the Royal opening having taken place in March 2010). But we've visited The Cornwall Hotel and Spa and it certainly sets a new high standard for hotels in Cornwall. The original manor house is home to the very stylish and comfortable bar and restaurant, with more hotel rooms in the luxury lodges in the ground. The leisure and spa facilities look excellent, complete with a beautiful infiinity-edge pool. The Cornwall Hotel and Spa is easy to get to - just outside the busy Cornish town of St Austell - but is in a quiet woodland spot with delightful coastal walks, beaches and the charming fishing village of Mevagissey just a few miles away. An excellent luxury base for a short break in Cornwall.
