Mill End is one of our favourite hotels. A small, luxury country hotel in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, with an emphasis on comfort, traditional hospitality and fine dining.
Mill End's fifteen bedrooms include comfy standard doubles and twins, spacious king-sized rooms, and a couple of Junior Suites including a fabulous balcony suite with a huge terrace and views across the rolling fields of Dartmoor. The best room in the house is the lovely Teign Suite, which includes a separate sitting room in addition to the large and luxurious bedroom.
The restaurant, under executive chef Wayne Pearson, offers a fine dining experience with daily-changing menus which reflect the seasonal delights of Dartmoor.
Breakfast is a relaxed and plentiful affair, including fresh juices, fruits, cereals and pastries, followed by an outstanding "Full English".
Mill End is very dog-friendly, and there are some excellent walks to be enjoyed along the riverbank. Castle Drogo (National Trust) is within walking distance or a short drive away.
