Comfortable four-star facilities in the heart of glorious Padstow
The Metropole Hotel in Padstow is situated high above the harbour, with great views across the Camel Estuary, but still within easy walking distance of Padstow's multitude of shops, great restaurants and atmospheric pubs.
The Metropole is a traditional hotel with a warm feel, recently upgraded to 4-star standard including extensive renovations of the bedrooms.
In the winter you'll find a welcoming open fire to greet you in the reception area. In the warmer months guests at Metropole can take advantage of the hotel's heated outdoor pool.
Padstow is, of course, famed for Rick Stein's restaurants, and Stein's Seafood School. The Metropole is a good place to base yourself if you are planning to experience Mr Stein's establishments, all of which are a short walk from the hotel (and the world famous Seafood Restaurant is right next door).
Also just below the hotel you'll find the start of the Camel Trail cycle path, with bikes available to hire.
The Metropole Hotel's bar has a wonderful conservatory-style area, with spectacular views across the harbour and estuary. The restaurant enjoys similarly lovely views.
The Metropole Hotel has its own car park, which is a bit of a rarity in Padstow.
