The Devon Hotel
On the outskirts of Exeter, Devon
Handy for Exeter, with a good reputation. A Brend Group hotel.
We've not stayed at the Devon Hotel, so we can't offer a detailed recommendation. However, we are fans of the Brend Hotels group (of which this is one), and based on our experience of their other hotels we reckon the Devon Hotel probably provides good-quality accommodation, welcoming surroundings and good value-for-money.
The bar and lounge area is very comfortable and attractive, and like all Brend Hotels the Devon Hotel has a good reputation locally for its food.
The Devon Hotel is on the outskirts of Exeter, and convenient for the motorway (and as a base for exploring the local area, including the delightful riverside town of Topsham, and the ever-popular Torbay). Exeter City Centre is a 15 minute drive, making this hotel a good choice for business stop-over or for a city-break visit. Exeter itself is an attractive city, with its fine cathedral green, a wide range of shops, and the up-and-coming canalside district which offers pubs, restaurants, bike-hire, canoeing, and miles of lovely walks.
