Padstow is a paradise for those who love seafood. The views from the Victorian Metropole are pretty spectacular, overlooking the harbour and Camel Estuary. Padstow's narrow streets are dotted with small colourful shops, where you can find amazing antiques. Facilities at the hotel include the AA rosette Harbour Restaurant and bar, heated outdoor pool and free parking.
What we think:
The Metropole is situated high above the harbour, with great views across the Camel Estuary, but still within easy walking distance of Padstow's multitude of shops, great restaurants and atmospheric pubs. A traditional hotel with a warm feel, recently upgraded to 4-star standard including extensive renovations of the bedrooms.
