A traditional 'homely' pub, formerly a coaching inn, set in centre of the village St Blazey, adjacent to the Parish Church of St Blaize, on the A390 a few miles east of St Austell. The Cornish Arms is just a mile south of the Eden Project is on one of the Sutrans Cycling/Walking paths into Eden-part of the Cornish Way.The major attractions of the Cornish Riviera are within an easy drive; the literary port Fowey, Lanhydrock House & Gardens, Charlestown, Pine Lodge Gardens, Mevagissey, The Lost Gardens of Heligan,Carerhayes Castle etc.The Cornish Armsis a good local pub and has a fine reputation for providing great beers and satisfying meals- enjoy lunch or dinner in the restaurant.The Accommodation in the pub has a selection of comfortable en suite and standard room, all with colour television and tea/coffee making facilities etc.
What we think:
We haven't stayed here, so we can't comment in detail, but the Cornish Arms is a proper pub, very close to the Eden Project, and seems like a good value-for-money option for staying close to Eden.
